骨骼賦予我們身體結構，保護身體移動時免受創傷。
您的骨質密度在 20至 30 多歲時處於頂峰狀態。
隨着年紀增長，您體內的激素水平會發生變化，導致骨骼失去強度和厚度。
在這時的初期階段，骨質密度會較正常水平低。
如沒有及早正視問題，脆弱的骨骼會逐漸失去強度和結構，變得更易折斷。
如果患上骨質疏鬆，骨骼會變得非常脆弱，隨時可能因輕微的碰撞或意外而折斷。
萬一骨質疏鬆變得愈來愈嚴重，您的骨骼強度會繼續減弱，骨折機會大大增加。
若您曾經歷過骨折，再次骨折的機率會大幅增加86%2。
